Warranty Policy

Sentorise provides a 5-year limited warranty on all LiFePO4 battery modules, covering manufacturing defects and capacity retention under documented operating conditions.
1. Warranty Coverage
Sentorise warrants that its LiFePO4 battery modules will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of five (5) years from the date of original purchase.
1.1 What Is Covered
- Manufacturing Defects: Defects in materials, workmanship, or assembly that affect normal operation
- Capacity Retention: Battery will retain at least 80% of rated capacity after 5 years under documented operating conditions
- BMS Functionality: Battery Management System protection features and cell balancing
- Internal Components: Cells, BMS board, terminals, and housing integrity
1.2 Warranty Performance Standards
To qualify for warranty coverage, the battery must:
- Be operated within documented voltage, current, and temperature specifications
- Be charged using LiFePO4-compatible charging equipment (14.2-14.6V bulk, no float)
- Be installed in accordance with mechanical fitment and vibration requirements
- Not exceed 6,000 charge/discharge cycles at 80% depth of discharge
2. What Is NOT Covered
The following conditions void warranty coverage and are not eligible for repair or replacement:
- Improper Charging: Use of incompatible chargers, incorrect voltage settings, or charging below 0°C (32°F)
- Physical Damage: Impact damage, water ingress, corrosion, or modification of housing/terminals
- Electrical Abuse: Over-current beyond BMS limits, short circuits, reverse polarity connection
- Unauthorized Modifications: Opening the battery case, tampering with BMS, or attempting repairs
- Operation Outside Boundaries: Use in applications not validated by Sentorise engineering documentation
- Improper Installation: Inadequate vibration protection, exposure to extreme temperatures, or poor ventilation
- Normal Wear: Gradual capacity loss within specification (>80% after 5 years is acceptable)
- Cosmetic Issues: Scratches, dents, or discoloration that do not affect functionality
3. Warranty Claim Process
3.1 Required Documentation
To file a warranty claim, you must provide:
- Proof of purchase (receipt or invoice) showing date and authorized retailer
- Battery serial number and model number
- Detailed description of the defect or failure
- Photos or videos demonstrating the issue
- System configuration details (charger model, voltage settings, installation environment)
- Usage history (approximate cycles, operating temperature range)
3.2 Claim Submission
Submit warranty claims through:

- Online Form: sentorise.com/pages/contact (select "Warranty Claim")
- Response Time: Initial response within 2 business days
3.3 Evaluation Process
Sentorise engineering will:
- Review submitted documentation and determine preliminary eligibility
- Request battery return for inspection if defect is confirmed (prepaid shipping label provided)
- Conduct physical and electrical testing to verify defect and root cause
- Issue warranty decision within 10 business days of receiving returned battery
4. Warranty Remedies
If a warranty claim is approved, Sentorise will, at its sole discretion:
4.1 Repair
Repair the defective battery to restore it to proper working condition. Repaired batteries are covered by the remainder of the original warranty period or 90 days, whichever is longer.
4.2 Replacement
Replace the defective battery with a new or refurbished unit of equal or greater capacity. Replacement batteries carry the remainder of the original warranty period.
4.3 Refund
In cases where repair or replacement is not feasible, issue a prorated refund based on:
- Years 1-2: 100% of original purchase price
- Year 3: 75% of original purchase price
- Year 4: 50% of original purchase price
- Year 5: 25% of original purchase price
Important: Warranty remedies are limited to repair, replacement, or refund. Sentorise is not liable for consequential damages, installation costs, or system downtime.
5. Limitations and Disclaimers
5.1 Exclusive Remedy
This warranty provides the exclusive remedy for defects. Sentorise disclaims all other warranties, express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
5.2 Limitation of Liability
Sentorise's total liability under this warranty shall not exceed the original purchase price of the battery. Sentorise is not liable for:
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Loss of use, revenue, or profit
- Cost of substitute equipment or services
- Damage to connected equipment or property
- Installation, removal, or reinstallation costs
5.3 Engineering Responsibility
This warranty covers the battery module itself. System-level integration, charging topology selection, and application-specific validation remain the responsibility of the installer or end user. See our Engineering Responsibility Charter for details.
6. Transfer of Warranty
This warranty is transferable to subsequent owners if:
- Original proof of purchase is provided
- Transfer is registered with Sentorise within 30 days
- Battery has been operated within documented specifications
Warranty period remains based on original purchase date, not transfer date.
7. Geographic Coverage
This warranty is valid for batteries purchased through authorized Sentorise retailers in the European Union and United Kingdom. Warranty service is provided in the country of original purchase. International shipping for warranty claims is the customer's responsibility.
